Description: 
At 239 PM HST, radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms with violent rain showers of 2 to 4 inches per hour, in a 5 mile wide band extending across the island from just south of Nanakuli on the leeward side, to Waipau, Waikele and Pearl City, then over the Koolau to the windward side near Waikane, Ahuimanu, and Heeia. Several stream gauges are showing rapid rises, and flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flooding in drainages, streams, rivers, roads, properties, and other low-lying areas. Public road closures possible in some areas. Landslides are possible in steep terrain. Some locations that could experience flash flooding include but are not limited to... Kunia, Waipahu, Waikele, Pearl City, Ahuimanu, Waikele, and Heeia.
Instruction: 
Stay away from streams, rivers, drainage ditches, and culverts, even if they are currently dry.
