The eye of Typhoon Sinlaku (04W) is moving slowly northwest and the

tropical storm force winds are expected through tonight. Tropical
storm force winds still extend across Rota and Guam, and will be slow
to subside across the Marianas due to the size of the storm. Winds
look to begin falling below tropical storm force for Guam late
tonight, Rota around Thursday morning, and Tinian and Saipan Thursday
evening or Thursday night. Typhoon Sinlaku will begin to pass
through the northern CNMI just west of Alamagan, Pagan, and Agrihan
tonight through Thursday night, forecasted to curve northeastward,
passing north of Agrihan Friday.
Instruction:
People should remain in a designated shelter or in a sturdy and
reinforced concrete building. Due to the size and slow movement
of the storm, tropical storm force winds will be slow to subside,
potentially beginning to fall below damaging levels late tonight
according to the latest forecast from the Joint Typhoon Warning
Center. Even when winds start to decrease, remain indoors until
the government of Guam gives the "all clear".
