...TYPHOON SINLAKU CONTINUES TO MOVE SLOWLY NORTHWEST AWAY FROM TINIAN AND SAIPAN... .NEW INFORMATION... None. .AREAS AFFECTED... This local statement provides important information and recommended actions for people in Guam and the Northern Marianas. .WATCHES/WARNINGS... A Typhoon Warning continues for Rota, Tinian, Saipan, Alamagan, Pagan, and Agrihan. A Tropical Storm Warning and a Typhoon Watch continue for Guam. A Flood Watch is in effect for all of Guam and the CNMI. Please monitor forecasts for any Flood Advisories or Warnings that might be in effect for your area. Please check the latest public and marine forecasts for detailed information about additional hazards. .STORM INFORMATION... At 7 PM ChST...the center of Typhoon Sinlaku (04W) was located near latitude 16.2N...longitude 144.8E. This was about 190 miles north of Guam. Storm motion was northwest, 325 degrees, at 6 mph. Storm intensity was 125 mph. .SITUATION OVERVIEW... The eye of Typhoon Sinlaku (04W) is moving slowly northwest and the outer edge of the eye remain northwest of Tinian and Saipan. Strong tropical storm force winds are expected through tonight. Tropical storm force winds still extend across Rota and Guam, and will be slow to subside across the Marianas due to the size of the storm. Winds look to begin falling below tropical storm force for Guam late tonight, Rota around Thursday morning, and Tinian and Saipan Thursday evening or Thursday night. Typhoon Sinlaku will begin to pass through the northern CNMI just west of Alamagan, Pagan, and Agrihan tonight through Thursday night, forecasted to curve northeastward, passing north of Agrihan Friday.
Instruction: 
People should remain in a designated shelter or in a sturdy and reinforced concrete building. Due to the size and slow movement of the storm, tropical storm force winds will be slow to subside, potentially beginning to fall below damaging levels late tonight according to the latest forecast from the Joint Typhoon Warning Center. Even when winds start to decrease, remain indoors until the government of Guam gives the "all clear".
