A Typhoon Warning remains in effect for Rota, Tinian, and Saipan. A Tropical Storm Warning and Typhoon Watch remain in effect for Guam. A Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect for Pagan and Alamagan. A Tropical Storm Watch remains in effect for Agrihan. A Flood Watch is in effect for all of Guam and the Northern Marianas. Please listen closely for any Flash Flood Warnings that might be in effect for your area. Please check the latest public and marine forecasts for detailed information about additional hazards. .STORM INFORMATION... At 9 PM ChST...the center of Super Typhoon Sinlaku (04W) was located near latitude 13.0N...longitude 147.6E. This was about 190 miles east of Guam. Storm motion was west-northwest, 300 degrees, at 8 mph. Storm intensity was 175 mph. .SITUATION OVERVIEW... Super Typhoon Sinlaku (04W) continues to move west-northwest toward the Marianas with a slight northwest turn expected. The outer rain bands of Sinlaku are rotating in over the islands, and continue to bring periods of heavy showers, thunderstorms, and strong winds. The most recent storm track produced by the Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC) is still maintaining a track north of Rota and near or over Tinian and Saipan. Sinlaku is expected to gradually weaken the next few days, but still expected to cross the Marianas as a Category 4 or 5 typhoon.
