Description:
At 610 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was near Center Post, or near
Lafayette, moving east at 60 mph.
HAZARD...Up to 40 mph wind, pea sized hail and frequent cloud to
ground lightning.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
light, unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Dalton, Lafayette, Chatsworth, Varnell, Tunnel Hill, La Fayette,
Naomi, Noble, Wood Station, Rocky Face, Tilton, Mill Creek, Linwood,
Beaumont, Beaverdale, Dawnville, Villanow, North Georgia Speedway,
and Rock Spring.
Instruction:
People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
