Description:
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of east central Georgia, including the following
county, Burke.
* WHEN...Until 1030 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams. Some low-water crossings may become
impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 719 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
showers and thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small
stream flooding. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Waynesboro, Sardis, Burke County Airport, Alexander, Gough,
Girard, Vidette, Di-Lane Wildlife Management Area, Rosier and
Magruder.

Instruction:
Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a
flooded roadway or around barricades. Turn around, don't drown.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
