Description:
At 702 PM EDT, Burke County Dispatch reported both lanes of Hwy 23
are flooded near the 15100 block. Up to 3.5 inches of rain have
fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Instruction:
Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a
flooded roadway or around barricades. Turn around, don't drown.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
