INLAND SOUTHEAST GA THIS AFTERNOON...
The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has issued a Red
Flag Warning for critical humidity and elevated winds, which is
in effect from 2 PM this afternoon to 8 PM EDT this evening.
* AFFECTED AREA...In Georgia, Coffee, Jeff Davis and Atkinson.
* TIMING...This afternoon for RFW and Monday afternoon and
evening for watch.
* WINDS...Today, North 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Today, in the low-mid 20s. Monday, As low
as 14 percent.
* TEMPERATURES...Today, mow-mid 70s. Monday, upper 70s.
* LIGHTNING...
* IMPACTS...Existing or newly ignited wildfires may exhibit
erratic fire behavior, spread rapidly and become difficult to
contain or suppress.
Instruction:
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
