Description:
At 554 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near Winter Haven, moving east at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Winter Haven, Haines City, Bartow, Lake Wales, Auburndale, Fussels
Corner, Jan Phyl Village, Poinciana, Lake Alfred, Dundee, Davenport,
Eagle Lake, Polk City, Lake Hamilton, Highland Park, Alturas, Inwood,
Cypress Gardens, Winter Haven Airport, and Lake Wales Municipal
Airport.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
