Description: 
At 600 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Daytona Beach Airport, or near South Daytona, moving southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Daytona Beach, Port Orange, Ormond Beach, New Smyrna Beach, and South Daytona.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Seek safe shelter inside a sturdy building or hard-topped vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike beyond 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. When thunder roars, go indoors!
