Description:
At 612 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles east of Graceville to near Bonifay to
11 miles south of Florala. Movement was southeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Chipley, De Funiak Springs, Bonifay, Marianna, Graceville, Eglin Air
Force Base, Union, Liberty, Cottondale, Greenwood, Ponce De Leon,
Alford, Caryville, Westville, Campbellton, Oakwood Hills, Cluster
Springs, Whitehead Crossroads, Cerrogordo, and Gritney.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
