* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of the Upper Keys in Monroe County, including the Key Largo area. * WHEN...Until 900 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 551 AM EDT, National Weather Service Meteorologist detected heavy rain ongoing with high rainfall rates. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen in less than an hour. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Jewfish Creek Bridge, Key Largo, Route 1/card Sound, Route 1/card Sound Road Split and North Key Largo. - This includes US 1 between mile markers 101 and 109. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
