* WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues to be possible. * WHERE...Hamilton and Herkimer Counties in eastern New York. * WHEN...Through Wednesday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional periods of moderate to locally heavy rainfall with embedded thunderstorms will impact the Southwest Adirondacks and western Mohawk Valley this afternoon through early tomorrow morning before lighting up into the afternoon. In these areas, 0.5" up to nearly 2" of rainfall has already fallen and caused Minor to Moderate flooding on the West Canada Creek. An additional 0.5" to 1" remains possible through tomorrow afternoon, especially if a thunderstorm crosses through the area and produces a locally heavy downpour.
