Expires:

Description:
Heavy rain has moved out of the area, but elevated streams in the
Western Maine Mountains could move remaining river ice. Ice jams can
lead to unexpected flooding.
* WHAT...Rising stream levels and a risk for ice jam flooding.
* WHERE...Portions of south central, west central, and western
Maine, including the following areas, in south central Maine,
Southern Somerset. In west central Maine, Central Somerset. In
western Maine, Northern Franklin, Northern Oxford and Southern
Franklin.
* WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Elevated streams and rivers across the Western Maine

jam related flooding through midday. Once the streamflows recede
this afternoon the flood risk will improve.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
