...FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES THROUGH MONDAY MORNING FOR THE BIG ISLAND OF HAWAII... ...THE FLOOD WATCH IS CANCELLED THIS EVENING FOR THE ISLANDS OF MOLOKAI LANAI KAHOOLAWE AND MAUI... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...The Big Island. * WHEN...Until 6 AM HST Monday. * IMPACTS...Flood prone roads and other low lying areas may be closed due to elevated runoff and overflowing streams due to excessive rain over saturated ground. Urban areas may receive more significant flooding and property damage due to rapid runoff. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Unstable tropical moisture left from the departing kona low and troughing aloft will bring possible heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms through the overnight to early morning hours.
