...FLOOD WATCH FOR MAUI COUNTY AND THE BIG ISLAND THROUGH TONIGHT... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Maui, Molokai, Lanai, and Kahoolawe. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Flood prone roads and other low lying areas may be closed due to elevated runoff and overflowing streams. Urban areas may receive more significant flooding and property damage due to rapid runoff. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - With deep moisture in place, southwest winds will deliver periods of moderate to heavy rain to portions of Leeward Maui through tonight. Saturated ground conditions will increase the risk for flash flooding.
