...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Wisconsin...
Black River Near Galesville affecting Trempealeau and La Crosse
Counties.
.The Black River near Galesville is expected to fall below flood
stage just after midnight tonight and continue falling to 6.2 feet
Tuesday, April 14.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Black River near Galesville.
* WHEN...Until early tomorrow afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Flooding mainly impacts wildlands and
agricultural pasture land. The approaches on both ends of the
County Road VV bridge over the Black River in Jackson County may
begin to flood and the bridge gates may be closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 12.5 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:00 AM CDT Tuesday was 12.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
just after midnight tonight and continue falling to 6.2 feet

- Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
12.5 feet on 04/15/2002.

Instruction:
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
