Baraboo River Near Baraboo affecting Columbia and Sauk Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Baraboo River near Baraboo. * WHEN...From Monday afternoon to early Thursday morning. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, If Wisconsin River at Portage up to 17 feet also, water approaches gravel of I-39 off ramp to Cascade Mt Rd. There is widespread flooding of agricultural land. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 14.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 17.6 feet Tuesday evening. It will then fall below flood stage late Wednesday evening. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 17.6 feet on 02/27/1985. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
