Baraboo River Near Baraboo affecting Sauk and Columbia Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Baraboo River near Baraboo. * WHEN...From late Sunday night to Wednesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, If Wisconsin River at Portage up to 17 feet also, water approaches gravel of I-39 off ramp to Cascade Mt Rd. There is widespread flooding of agricultural land. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 14.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Monday morning to a crest of 18.1 feet early Tuesday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late Wednesday morning. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.1 feet on 08/13/1980. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
