For the Yakima River...including Kiona...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Yakima River at Kiona. * WHEN...Until late tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, There will be minor flooding of pastures and roads adjacent to the river...especially in low lying areas of West Richland. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 AM PDT Monday the stage was 13.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 11.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:30 AM PDT Monday was 13.4 feet. - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage late tonight to 11.0 feet late Thursday morning. It will then rise to 11.2 feet late Friday morning. It will fall to 9.0 feet Tuesday, March 31 then rise again. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 13.3 feet on 04/03/2011. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
