Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Naches River near Naches. * WHEN...Until tomorrow afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 17.8 feet, there will be minor flooding near Naches, Eschback Park, Painted Rock and the north end of Yakima. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:45 PM PDT Sunday the stage was 18.0 feet. - Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:45 PM PDT Sunday was 18.4 feet. - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning to 17.3 feet late Tuesday evening. It will then rise to flood stage Wednesday afternoon. It will fall for the remainder of the period. - Flood stage is 17.8 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.0 feet on 12/27/1980. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
