Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Along Rio Blanco in Naguabo.
* WHEN...Until 1130 AM AST.
* IMPACTS...Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from
earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and
may not be passable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1016 AM AST, the USGS sensor continues to report action
flood stage. Although heavy rainfall has ended, emergency
managers confirmed that the road PR-31 near PR-53 exit 22
remains impassable. Flooding is occurring in the warned area.
Between 2 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
