Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Along Rio Blanco in Naguabo.
* WHEN...Until 1030 AM AST.
* IMPACTS...Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from
earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and
may not be passable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 831 AM AST, the USGS gauge latest report indicated that
Rio Blanco dropped to action flooding stage. Nevertheless,
emergency managers confirmed that the river was out of its
banks, with PR-31 near PR-53 exit 22 impassable. Between 2
and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
