For the Portage River...including Woodville...Major flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Portage River at Woodville. * WHEN...Until Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...At 14.5 feet, Homes in Pemberville along Bierley and Bridge Street inundated with a few feet of water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:30 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 13.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.5 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early Saturday afternoon. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.5 feet on 02/15/1950. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information.
