Ellicott Creek Near Williamsville affecting Erie and Genesee Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring. * WHERE...Ellicott Creek near Williamsville. * WHEN...Until this afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, Flood stage, some flooding begins along Aero Drive from Holtz to Transit Roads in Cheektowaga. Also some flooding along the flood control project area in Amherst such as the bike path and golf course. Minor flooding in Ellicott Creek Park. Little or no overall damage. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:15 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 8.46 feet. - Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 4:15 AM EDT Thursday was 8.64 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage this morning and continue falling to 3.1 feet early Saturday afternoon. - Flood stage is 8.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 8.4 feet on 02/19/2022. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
