Cayuga Creek Near Lancaster affecting Erie and Wyoming Counties.
For the Cayuga Creek...including Lancaster...Minor flooding is
forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Cayuga Creek near Lancaster.
* WHEN...Until this evening.
* IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, Flood stage, minor flooding in low lying
areas of Lancaster and Alden.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 2:30 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 9.47 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 2:30 AM EDT Wednesday was 9.73 feet.
- Forecast...The river crested 9.7 feet early this morning and
is starting to fall. It will fall below flood stage this
afternoon.
- Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
9.4 feet on 01/19/1996.
