...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Missouri...
Meramec River near Eureka.
Big River at Byrnesville.
River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 48 hours.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Big River at Byrnesville.
* WHEN...Until Wednesday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 22.4 feet, At this level, Twin Rivers Bridge Road must
be closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:45 AM CST Saturday the stage was 22.1 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 10:45 AM CST Saturday was 22.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Tuesday morning and continue falling to 6.1 feet Saturday, March
14.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
