Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of North Mississippi, including the following
counties, Lafayette, Lee, Marshall, Pontotoc and Union.
* WHEN...Until 830 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Several
structures are flooded and some sand bagging operations are
continuing.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 528 PM CDT, trained weather spotters reported heavy rain
in the warned area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already
occurring. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
New Albany, Pontotoc, Trace State Park, Ecru, New Harmony,
Pinedale, Etta, Keownville, Furrs, Sherman, Thaxton, Algoma,
Toccopola, Blue Springs, Cherry Creek, Ingomar, Hortontown,
Bald Hill, Buchannan and Martintown.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
