...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa...
Iowa River at Marengo affecting Iowa and Benton Counties.
.Heavy rainfall during the past week will produce flooding on
portions of the Iowa River.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Iowa River at Marengo.
* WHEN...From Tuesday morning to Sunday, April 12.
* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Water affects agricultural land along the
river. Water is several feet deep in places.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 13.7 feet and slowly
rising.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late Tuesday morning to a crest of 16.2 feet Friday evening.
It will then fall below flood stage Saturday evening.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
Instruction:
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
The next statement will be issued by Monday morning at 1100 AM CDT.
