For the Kankakee River...including Dunns Bridge...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Kankakee River from US-421 south of La Crosse downstream to IN-49 south of Kouts, including the Dunns Bridge gauge. * WHEN...From this afternoon until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Structures threatened near IN-49 and the river. Backwater on a drainage canal threatens 1200 South Road east of IN-49. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 5:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 9.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 11.2 feet Tuesday morning. - Flood stage is 10.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
