...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana... Wabash River at Lafayette. Wabash River at Montezuma. Wabash River at Covington. .Multiple rounds of rainfall will bring minor lowland flooding to the Wabash River basin that could hang around through much of next week. The current river forecasts include around an inch of rainfall through Saturday morning, but do not include rainfall from Saturday through Sunday. Higher rainfall amounts in the Wabash basin could increase crests or lengthen the amount of time in flood. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Covington. * WHEN...From this evening to Thursday, April 09. * IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Lanes to river residences west of South River Road south of Covington flooded. Sandhill Road at Mud Run just northeast of Covington begins to flood. Extensive lowland flooding in progress. Higher bottomlands flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:45 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 13.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this evening to a crest of 21.9 feet early Sunday morning.
