...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana... Illinois... White River at Petersburg. White River at Edwardsport. White River at Elliston. White River at Hazleton. Wabash River at Mount Carmel. .Minor to moderate flooding continues on the White River from Elliston downstream. Secondary crests are now occurring. Flooding is expected to last as late as next weekend or Monday, March 23 for lower portions of the White River. The next accumulating precipitation is forecast to start Sunday afternoon and night. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...White River at Hazleton. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, Extensive river flooding continues in northern Gibson County. Numerous county roads were flooded in March 2011. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 5:50 PM EDT Thursday /4:50 PM CDT Thursday/ the stage was 25.4 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 5:50 PM EDT Thursday /4:50 PM CDT Thursday/ was 25.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall slowly over the next 10 days. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
