White River at Newberry, Edwardsport, Mount Carmel, Hazleton, and
Petersburg.
...The Flood Warning is extended for the following river in
Indiana...
White River at Elliston.
.Minor to moderate flooding continues on the White River from
Elliston downstream. Secondary crests are now occurring. Flooding
is expected to last as late as the weekend of March 21.
The next accumulating precipitation is forecast to start Sunday
afternoon and night.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...White River at Elliston.
* WHEN...Until early Sunday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, River Road north of CR 150 W in Greene
County is flooded. Low agricultural fields flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 18.2 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:00 AM EDT Thursday was 18.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.2
feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage
early Saturday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

dangers of flooding.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths
occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges,
dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream,
even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route
over higher ground.
