Patoka River near Princeton.
.Recent heavy rain has resulted in rising water levels on the Patoka
River at Princeton. The river is forecast to rise above flood stage
Tuesday afternoon, to a crest in minor flood Thursday afternoon.
For the Patoka River...including Princeton...Minor flooding is
forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Patoka River near Princeton.
* WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon to Monday, March 16.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:45 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 15.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early Tuesday afternoon to a crest of 19.2 feet early
Thursday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
Sunday, March 15.
- Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
Instruction:
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
