...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Indiana...
Patoka River near Princeton.
.Recent heavy rain has resulted in rising water levels on the Patoka
River. The river is forecast to rise above flood stage Tuesday
evening on its way to a crest in minor flood early Thursday morning,
then fall below flood stage next Saturday.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Patoka River near Princeton.
* WHEN...From Tuesday evening to Sunday, March 15.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:45 PM CST Saturday the stage was 16.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise to 16.1 feet just after
midnight tonight. It will then fall to 16.0 feet tomorrow
morning. It will rise above flood stage Tuesday evening to
19.1 feet early Thursday morning. It will then fall below
flood stage Saturday, March 14.
- Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
