...The Flood Warning continues for the following river in Indiana
adn Illinois...
Wabash River at New Harmony.
.Due to recent heavy rainfall, the Wabash River will continue rising
to a crest of 17.8 feet early Sunday morning.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Wabash River at New Harmony.
* WHEN...Until Friday, March 20.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:30 AM CDT Friday the stage was 16.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.8
feet early Sunday morning. It will then fall below flood
stage Friday, March 20.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
