...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...
Rock River near Joslin affecting Whiteside, Henry IL and Rock
Island Counties.
Rock River at Moline affecting Henry IL and Rock Island Counties.
.Heavy Rainfall over the past several days will produce flooding on
portions of the Rock River.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Rock River near Joslin.
* WHEN...From this afternoon to early Wednesday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Flooding of unprotected agricultural land
occurs. Water also affects Lundeens Landing Campground.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:45 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 11.7 feet and rising.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late this afternoon to a crest of 12.8 feet early tomorrow
afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early
Wednesday morning.
- Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
The next statement will be issued by Monday morning at 1100 AM CDT.
