...The National Weather Service in Chicago IL has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Illinois... Illinois River at La Salle affecting Putnam, Bureau and La Salle Counties. For the Illinois River (Upper)...including La Salle...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Illinois River from Starved Rock Lock and Dam downstream to confluence with Big Bureau Creek, including the La Salle gauge. * WHEN...From this evening until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, Lower parking lot at Starved Rock State Park is inundated east of La Salle. High water levels begin to impact shipping interests along the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:45 AM CDT Friday the stage was 18.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this evening to a crest of 22.2 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage by the middle of next week. - Flood stage is 20.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
