River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 48 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Kaskaskia River at Carlyle. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 20.3 feet, Township roads downstream in Covington begin flooding near this height. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 20.2 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:00 PM CDT Saturday was 20.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.2 feet just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 16.5 feet.
