River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 48 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Kaskaskia River at Carlyle. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 20.3 feet, Township roads downstream in Covington begin flooding near this height. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 17.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to near 20.2 feet Saturday morning and remain near that level over the next several days. - Flood stage is 16.5 feet.
