East Central Clinton County in northern New York...
* Until 100 PM EDT.
* At 705 AM EDT, emergency management reported an ice jam on the
Saranac at Morrisonville is impounding water causing rapid river
rises upstream. Evacuations are taking place along Ladue Street
and River Street.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding from an ice jam.
SOURCE...Emergency management reported.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas near the ice
jam.

Plattsburgh and Schuyler Falls.
This includes the following streams and drainages...
Plattsburgh metro north of Cornelia Street, Riley Brook, Salmon
River, Saranac River, Plattsburgh metro between Cornelia Street
and Saranac River, Plattsburgh metro south of Saranac River and
Mead Brook.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Ice jams are unpredictable, and rapid fluctuations in water levels
are possible. Please obey all road closures and instructions from
local authorities.
