Description:
At 1030 PM CST, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms
producing heavy rain in in Baton Rouge. Between 3 and 4 inches of
rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Baton Rouge, Denham Springs, Port Allen, Oak Hills Place, Addis,
Brusly, Westminster, Inniswold, Gardere, Merrydale, Village St.
George, Brownfields, Shenandoah, Old Jefferson, Central and Baton
Rouge Airport.
This includes the following Interstates...
Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 152 and 168.
Interstate 12 between mile markers 1 and 9.
Interstate 110 in Louisiana between mile markers 1 and 8.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
