The island of Molokai in Maui County * Until 1245 PM HST. * At 934 AM HST, radar indicated heavy rainfall with rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour over southeast Molokai. Local law enforcement reported debris on the road near mile marker 7 on Kamehameha V Highway, and a gage on the Kawela Gulch is showing a rapid rise in water levels. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Law enforcement. IMPACT...Flooding in drainages, streams, rivers, roads, properties, and other low-lying areas. Public road closures possible in some areas. Landslides are possible in steep terrain. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Pukoo, Ualapue, Kamalo, Halawa Valley, Kawela and Kalaupapa National Park.
