Description:
At 137 AM HST, radar indicated that rainfall had diminished over
Molokai, with rain now falling at a rate of a half inch per hour.
The Kawela Gulch remains elevated however, and remains at a level
that is known to produce high water flowing over Kamehameha Highway
near mile marker 6.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Flooding in drainages, streams, rivers, roads,
properties, and other low-lying areas. Public road
closures possible in some areas. Landslides are possible
in steep terrain.

The entire island of Molokai.
Instruction:
Stay away from streams, rivers, drainage ditches, and culverts, even
if they are currently dry.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of drainage
ditches and streams, streets, highways, properties, and other low
lying spots.
