Description: 
At 103 PM HST, radar indicated heavy rain over Oahu. Rain was falling at a rate of 1 to 3 inches per hour. Significant rises have been observed on area streams including Waiahole Stream, Manoa Palolo Drainage Canal, Makaha Stream, and the Kaukonahua Stream at Waialua. In addition, Kamehameha Highway is closed at Waikane due to flooding and numerous downed trees. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flooding in drainages, streams, rivers, roads, properties, and other low-lying areas. Public road closures possible in some areas. Landslides are possible in steep terrain. Instruction: 
Stay away from streams, rivers, drainage ditches, and culverts, even if they are currently dry. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of drainage ditches and streams, streets, highways, properties, and other low lying spots.
