Description:
At 907 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have
fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 3 inches in 1 hour.
Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are forecast. Flash
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Dallas, Mesquite, Desoto, Cedar Hill, Lancaster, Balch Springs,
Seagoville, Glenn Heights, Hutchins, Wilmer, Ovilla, Ferris,
Combine and Sand Branch.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Dangerous flash flooding is occurring or is imminent. Do not attempt
to travel unless you are fleeing flood waters. If you are in an area
subject to flooding, move to higher ground now.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
