...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING FOR BREEZY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE WESTERN PANHANDLES... The National Weather Service in Amarillo has issued a Red Flag Warning for breezy winds and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 2 PM this afternoon to 10 PM CDT this evening. A Fire Weather Watch has also been issued. This Fire Weather Watch for breezy winds and low relative humidity is in effect from Thursday afternoon through Thursday evening. * WINDS...Today. Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. Thursday. Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Today. As low as 22 percent. Thursday. As low as 10 percent. * TEMPERATURES...Today. Mid 70s to mid 80s. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will have the potential to spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. * SEVERITY... FUELS (ERC)...90th+ percentile...5 (out of 5). WEATHER...Near Critical...2 (out of 5). FIRE ENVIRONMENT...7 (out of 10).
