SATURDAY EVENING...
The National Weather Service in Hastings has issued a Red Flag
Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect
from noon to 8 PM CDT Friday. A Fire Weather Watch has also been
issued from Saturday morning through Saturday evening.
* WINDS...Northeast 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph this
afternoon. North 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 MPH on Friday,
and south 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph on Saturday.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 25 percent this afternoon. As low
as 15 percent on Friday and Saturday afternoons.
* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will spread quickly. Outdoor
burning is not recommended.
Instruction:
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
Red Flag Warnings.
