Description:
* WHAT...For the Wind Advisory, southwest winds 25 to 35 mph
with gusts up to 55 mph expected. For the first Freeze Watch,
sub- freezing temperatures as low as 21 possible. For the
second Freeze Watch, sub-freezing temperatures as low as 19
possible.
* WHERE...In Colorado, Lower Yampa River Basin and Central Yampa
River Basin Counties. In Utah, Eastern Uinta Basin County.
* WHEN...For the Wind Advisory, from 11 AM to 8 PM MDT Thursday.
For the first Freeze Watch, from late Thursday night through
Friday morning. For the second Freeze Watch, from Friday
evening through Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.
Tree limbs could be blown down. Frost and freeze conditions
could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly
damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
Instruction:
Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high
profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
People, especially those with respiratory illnesses, heart
disease, the elderly, and children are recommended to stay
indoors and avoid prolonged outdoor exercise or heavy exertion
due to wind-blown dust.
