Description:
At 249 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a weak shower 6 miles south
of Commerce City, or 6 miles northeast of Denver, moving northeast at
15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Denver, northern Aurora, southwestern Thornton, Commerce City,
Brighton, Denver International Airport, D.I.A Terminal and
Concourses and Watkins.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 70 between mile markers 273 and 293. Interstate 225
between mile markers 6 and 12. Interstate 25 between mile markers 202
and 204...and between mile markers 213 and 218. Interstate 76 between
mile markers 4 and 19.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
Prepare for sudden gusty winds. Secure loose objects and move to a
safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
