* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southwestern Washington County in northeastern Colorado... * WHEN...Until 545 AM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 240 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Middlemist Creek, Plum Bush Creek, Buck Creek, Sand Creek, East Fork Plumb Bush Creek, Vega Creek and Beaver Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Woodlin School and Last Chance.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
